Fractional PR Director: National Earned Media Boost + Regional PR Development


My fractional PR Director offering is designed for mid-size, national nonprofits and mission-driven brands with regional marketing team members who could benefit from senior PR mentorship.


This player-coach model includes:
 
  • Strategic Audit: Review national and regional coverage over the past two to three years to identify gaps. 
     
  • National Earned Media Execution: Personally plan and implement the national media relations work to elevate the organization’s profile overall and set the standard for regional storytelling.

 
  • Pitch Kits: Create a series of monthly kits that regional staff can tailor to pitch local stories about the organization’s news and events.

      
  • Group Mentorship: Lead bi-weekly group coaching sessions for regional team members to review results from the previous month, go over the new pitch kit and offer a short training on a specific topic. Topics include: Building a Productive Media List, Developing Timely News Hooks, Local Event Promotion, Executive Prep for Local Interviews, Regional Newsjacking, and more.

 
  • Personal Coaching: Provide 1-on-1 support and advice to regional team members as needed (e.g., helping them choose the best angle or example for a pitch or prioritize projects).
     
  • Quarterly Evaluation: Develop a simple way to track wins and share them with the team, leadership and your target audiences.
